Ayn Alttaqa follows a documented methodology for executing Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) projects that ensures quality and safety at every stage — from initial study to final pipe delivery ready for operation.
Documented procedures describing safe and approved practices for installing HDPE pipes using HDD technology — adjusted only by site and pipe type, without compromising safety or execution method.
Precise monitoring of drill assembly progress via a Sonde device in the drill head — measures inclination and rotation angle, transmitting data wirelessly to a surface receiver for real-time control.
Drilling a small-diameter pilot hole using a remotely controlled drill assembly along the pre-planned curved path using specialized cutting heads and directional control devices.
Enlarging the pilot hole to the appropriate diameter using reamers of various sizes according to soil conditions. The process may require multiple passes to reach the required diameter.
Welding the pipe to sufficient lengths on the exit side, then pulling it through the reamed hole. Butt Fusion welding and hydrostatic testing are performed before pull-back begins.
Thermal Butt Fusion welding — fixturing, facing, heating — an economical and reliable method without additional components, achieving a tight match between surfaces for a continuous, strong joint.
